I've been really looking forward to this announcement!
This year, I teamed up with EIGHT romantic fantasy authors for a fun project.
The mission? To write a romantic fantasy short novel on the theme of Stolen Brides of the Fae and publish them every week for eight weeks in a row as a part of one series.
I was just coming off of writing Fly With the Arrow when we made our plan, and I wasn't sure how I could write another story about a stolen bride so soon after that one without repeating the same ideas.
But I was up for the challenge.
I mulled over the idea for a couple of months, trying and discarding multiple ideas as I tried to come up with a fresh idea that didn't borrow from either my Fae Hunter series or the Bluebeard's Secret series but was still true to the idea of who fae are and had some kind of appeal for a romance.
I finally landed on something that is both whimsical and ethereal while (I think) being strong plot-wise and twisty enough for those who prefer a clever and thematic plot to go with their romance. It's a different and a bit odd addition to the series, but now that it's complete I'm proud of the piece and I find I really enjoy it.
Here's what my critique partner had to say about it:
"Sarah writes romance like a knife to the heart. I end her stories gutted, coming back to the real world with the sense that I'm not sure what just happened but I liked it."- Melissa Wright, YA Fantasy Author
Hopefully, that sounds exciting to you, too!
I don't have a real cover for my book - just a temporary one. All the books will have original art from Dominique Wesson and you'll see on the website that Emma and Sylvia already have theirs ready. My book will be the last published in the series, so my art will be revealed last of all, but I can't wait to see it!
Go check out all the great stories coming your way in this fun series and let me know which one you're most excited for!
