Everyone needs to start somewhere. 

And I think with authors you want to start with their free stuff to see if any of it grabs you.

I get that.

Which is why I offer my free short stories - they offer glimpses into the worlds of some of my series.

 

But as I was setting this up, I started remembering when I was a younger woman with a little less wiggle room in my budget and I used to read the backlists of Baen Books authors for free on their website. They didn't offer their best work, but it was still just right for my limited budget.

I thought, why don't I do that, too?

Below, you'll find a few of my unpublished books (books that were once for sale, but no longer) that you can also read for free. They don't represent my best work anymore, so I don't really want to charge for them, but I think they're still fairly entertaining. If you're on a tight budget, maybe you'll get some enjoyment out of them.
